🇨🇿🤠 CZECH BOŽÍ MILOSTI WITH AN EAST TEXAS TWIST! A little Czech tradition meets a little Texas attitude! We made traditional Czech boží milosti, but decided to give them a true East Texas makeover — shaped like Texas Longhorns and Lone Stars, fried until golden and crispy, and dusted with powdered sugar. VERY LIMITED EDITION! We've been incredibly busy, so we only managed to make a small batch. These special homemade treats will be available today, Saturday, October 17, at Nomad Kitchen & BB Finch Farm Trading Post! And about those Longhorns… We made them especially with Dan Morrison in mind! We figured if anyone deserved a Longhorn made of crispy Czech pastry and covered in powdered sugar, it had to be Dan! No actual Longhorns were harmed in the making of these treats — although a few may have disappeared during quality control! We hope you'll enjoy this little combination of Czech tradition and Texas pride as much as we enjoyed making it! Czech tradition. East Texas spirit. Made from scratch. Very limited quantities — once they're gone, they're gone!

A Day Off? Not Quite! 🌿☕
Just because Nomad Kitchen is closed doesn't mean we're taking a day off!
Today we're back to our roots — literally! Harvesting wild Texas yaupon, sorting leaves, and preparing fresh batches of our locally made tea.
Yaupon (Ilex vomitoria) is North America's only native caffeinated plant, and it grows right here in East Texas. We hand-harvest it, carefully process it, and turn it into something special — from loose-leaf tea to our refreshing Murchison Morning Yaupon Brew.
It's a lot of work behind every little package and bottle, but that's what BB Finch Farm is all about. Real ingredients, local resources, and making things ourselves whenever possible.
And speaking of roasting... ☕
We've been playing with another idea — roasting our own coffee right here at Nomad Kitchen! We're exploring the possibility of setting up a small coffee roaster so we can offer freshly roasted beans alongside our Texas yaupon.
Imagine locally harvested yaupon and freshly roasted coffee, both prepared right here in Murchison!
We're not quite there yet, but that's the direction we'd love to go.
