Join Long Bay Folk Society at Smugglers Den on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for a traditional Irish session—jigs, reels, and hornpipes. If the singers find their courage, there may even be a sea shanty or pub song or twelve.

Fiddles, whistles, flutes, accordions, concertinas, uilleann pipes, tenor banjos, bodhráns, mandolins, and guitars are all welcome—provided they can behave themselves before the second round.

Know a few tunes? Pull up a chair. Still learning? Pull up a chair anyway; every master was once a beginner with more enthusiasm than timing. Just listening? There’s a seat at the bar, where the acoustics are excellent and the opinions are free.

Slow-pour Guinness served. Shenanigans encouraged.
