A little update. We are still a few weeks away from opening East Coast Pie in Casco but dominoes are finally starting to fall and we hope by the end of this week we will have a better idea of how close we are.
For the past 4 years I ran the Pizza Pit Matterhorn Ski Bar. Other than owning my own business that was the best job I have had in my entire life. My coworkers, the customers and especially my bosses and the owner helped shape me from what I was into who I am now (my bro too but as his older brother I can only give him so much credit.) If you know anything about me you know how far I have come. I still have much to learn but it was time to step down and continue on the journey that my brother and I are on.
As we open up the new location there are a few things that I would like to make a staple. Live music is number one and we plan to have solo artists involved as frequently as possible inside over the winter and hopefully when things warm up full bands can perform outside.
This past weekend I went on a little drive around NH and ME to connect with some local artists who I have enjoyed over the years at the Matterhorn and also one that i specifically have been watching from afar all summer.
Anthony Todd Music
Toby McAllister & The Sierra Sounds
Xander Lee Nelson
Jay Larkin
I recommend that everyone check them out and give them a follow. If I have my way you will be able to see them at East Coast Pie at some point. There are more artists but these are who I specifically saw and spoke to this weekend.
We still have a lot of work to do and the place will undergo transformations as we build and grow. Comedy shows, makers markets, and anything else that can draw a crowd are all possibilities.
Oh yea and we will have some pretty good food too.
I don’t know if I can thank this community enough for your support. This is just the beginning.
