🌞 Saturday Night Creek Crew Update 🌞

Whew... what a week! We've been running wide open, rolled through one packed weekend, and we're heading straight into another one. We sure appreciate every single one of you who keeps showing up, grabbing a meal, and supporting this little hometown barbecue joint.

We've still got about an hour left today, so if you're craving some real smoked BBQ or one of those smashers everyone's been talking about, you've still got time!

If not, here's what's coming up:
🥗 Sunday – Our Soup & Salad Bar is ready to roll.
🍽️ Monday – Full Buffet plus the Salad Bar. Come hungry.

Then next weekend, make a day of it and support some great local businesses!

🍷 Saturday, July 18 – We'll have the Sugar Creek Food Truck set up at Brown County Winery in Gnawbone as they celebrate 40 years! Stop by between 11 AM and 3 PM, enjoy some great food, sample some wine, and help celebrate one of Brown County's longtime favorites.

🥃 Then head over to Hard Truth for the Bourbon & BBQ Festival from 4 PM to 8 PM. You'll find bourbon tastings, live music, and 20 of the best BBQ competition teams from across the country battling it out. We can;t wait to light the smoker and get this competition started!!!!

The best part? YOU decide the winner. The BBQ competition is 100% People's Choice, which means you'll get to sample barbecue from all 20 teams and cast your vote. Come hungry... wear stretchy pants, you're going to need the room!

It's shaping up to be one incredible weekend to eat local, shop local, support local, and celebrate everything that makes Brown County such a special place.

🇺🇸 Friday Night Creek Crew Update 🇺🇸

Well... we've argued about it all day.

I voted to stay open because, well... my love language is apparently working. The rest of the crew reminded me they actually have families that like seeing them every once in a while.

So by a vote of "Everybody Else" to "Chris"... Sugar Creek will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th. I lost. Democracy works, I guess. 😂

Truth is, every one of our crew members has young'uns waiting to chase fireworks, eat hot dogs, and make memories. That's exactly what Independence Day is all about.

Born too late to celebrate America's 200th birthday... born too early to celebrate the 300th... so I reckon we'd better raise a little cane for 250! 🇺🇸

We'll be here Saturday morning handing out all the bulk orders and catering pickups that were preordered. If you forgot something and need a last-minute save, shoot us a message. If we can help, we will.

Now do us a favor...
🎇 Blow up fireworks...
🍔 Eat way too much...
🍺 Drink responsibly...
🤚 And please... for the love of all that's holy... keep all ten fingers. We've grown rather attached to them.

🔥 Saturday Night Update – Creek Crew 🔥

Now THAT'S what we like to see!

We opened the doors at 4:00, and by 4:05 a party of 20 was already sitting down. I turned the corner, looked at the catering board... and every spot was full too.

At that point there's only one thing left to do...

Take a deep breath... smile... throw another log on the fire... and GO. 🔥💪

Weekends like this remind us why we do what we do. Long hours, sore feet, smoke in our clothes, and a kitchen running a hundred miles an hour—but we wouldn't trade it for anything, well I could think of a few things.

To everyone who chose Sugar Creek tonight... whether you dined in, grabbed carryout, or trusted us with your catering... thank you. You keep this Shack alive, and we never take that for granted.

What a solid Thursday! ❤️

We're heading into another busy weekend, and we couldn't be more thankful. We're blessed to have multiple caterings every single day this weekend, and that's all because of you.

We might be able to squeeze in one more smaller catering on Saturday if you're still looking for a rehearsal dinner, graduation get-together, birthday, family reunion, or something around that size. Give us a call before the calendar fills up!

Now... let's talk about this salad bar. 🥗

We've spent a lot of time listening to your feedback, tweaking it, adding to it, and making sure it was worth coming in for. After today... I think we've officially got ourselves a real salad bar.

Now the only challenge left is convincing all you BBQ lovers that lettuce isn't just what burgers wear for decoration. 😂 Come give it a shot—you might surprise yourself.

Official update… we are SOLD OUT of turkey, chicken, brisket, and ribs. That’s a crazy sentence to type and one we definitely don’t take for granted.

Also… be kind to your server 😅 she didn’t run out of meat… WE sold out. Around here food gets cooked fresh and some of this stuff takes 12 hours, not 6 minutes in Chef Mike (the microwave). We’d restock if we could… but till then how about grab yourself a Smash Burger… we’ve heard they’re better anyway 👀😂

Whew… what a week.

Finally getting a second to sit down, catch our breath, and check in with our fans… and our snoopers too 👀😂

First off — THANK YOU.

Thank you all for supporting us closing last Sunday. Everything went perfect and we truly can’t thank you enough. From the kind comments, to the Venmos, to the messages and understanding… y’all absolutely showed up for us and reminded us why we love this community.

Y’all are rockstars. ❤️

Now onto this weekend…

It’s HOT. It’s sticky. It’s miserable. We know.

But do your best to get out there and support the County Fair. We’ve seen a whole lot of fussing and keyboard coaching on Facebook this week, but remember…
