Located in the heart of New Albany Ohio, our restaurant offers a great variety of pizza, subs, sandwiches, dinners, salads and desserts in a friendly atmosphere. Through the years we have employed hundreds of the area youth, many their first job. Together they have served thousands of pizzas and sub sandwiches to area families. 🎩 FOUNDERS DAY SPOTLIGHT: Meet the Guys Who Put New Albany on the Map 🗺️
Before you grab your spot on the curb for the Founders Day Parade, let’s talk about the two wildly different men who started it all back in 1837. Meet our founding fathers: Noble Landon and William Yantis.

Let's just say... New Albany has always had a lot of character.

🥃 Noble Landon (1783–1866)
The Background: Migrated from Connecticut/Vermont to Ohio in 1810. He was a certified hustler—serving as Plain Township's first clerk, Justice of the Peace, and the first postmaster for both Johnstown and New Albany.

The Real Estate: In 1837, he teamed up with Yantis to lay out 50x100-foot lots. Landon took the east side of High Street; Yantis took the west.

The Plot Twist: Landon secured New Albany’s first liquor license in 1835 for his tavern/inn at High and Main. He was known for heavily enjoying his own supply... until a sudden, dramatic "conversion." He literally dragged his whiskey kegs into the street, smashed them open, and became a regular churchgoer. (Talk about going cold turkey).

🧳 William Yantis (1795–1883)
The Background: A Maryland-born War of 1812 veteran who fought at the Battle of North Point (the same battle that inspired his neighbor, Francis Scott Key, to write the Star-Spangled Banner). He settled Plain Township in 1819 to farm and raise 9 kids.

The Side Hustles: His estate included a trunk of books, saddle-making tools, and... surgical instruments.

The Vibe: According to an 1883 obituary in The Westerville Review, Yantis was "an eccentric man, who claimed some knowledge of medicine." He was incredibly generous if he liked you, but if he didn't? You were dead to him.

📣 Parade Thought: As you march down High Street this weekend, remember: the East side was built by a reformed tavern owner, the West side was built by an eccentric amateur surgeon, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
