FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Union Java hires new CFO.
(Chief Furry Officer 🐶)
Please join us in welcoming a new member to the Union Java family:
Introducing Leyah!
This young lady is a mix of Pointer & Staffordshire Terrier, and is approximately 3 years-old. (At least that’s what it said on her résumé…) Given how well she did during her interview, (and of course—that face! ), we didn’t feel it was necessary to do a more thorough background check…
Leyah comes to us from Corpus Christi, TX, where she was found abandoned and hiding under a building, feeding her 7 newborn puppies and defending them from being attacked by other stray dogs. Due to her bravery, and the valiant persistence of local volunteers, she and her 7 pups were all saved from the streets and given a second chance at life.
As part of her hiring process, she was given a full physical examination, which revealed at some point in her past, she’s been shot with a pellet gun. The pellet remains lodged in her ribcage, thankfully not causing her any harm. For this reason, she was awarded a Purple Heart-shaped ID tag, in recognition of the wounds she received in defense of her puppies.
In spite of the difficulties she has endured in her past, she remains the sweetest, most gentle dog to everyone she meets. It was this loving nature in the face of such adversity that was the deciding factor in welcoming her to our team with open arms.
After a brief period of on-the-job training, Leyah will soon be joining us in the field as an associate sales rep, comfort dog, and copilot for all pickups and deliveries. For now, she is settling into her new office—(the couch)—curled up with plenty of fleece blankets and toys.
We look forward to many happy years ahead with this beautiful girl by our side!
Welcome to the family, Leyah!
