🚧 Terrace Project Update – Behind the Build 🚧
The architect and I spent time this week inside the steel shop where the terrace is being built—and this is the part most people never get to see.

Right now, raw steel is being cut, fitted, and welded into place piece by piece so everything lines up perfectly before it ever reaches Cove.

This isn’t a kit.
This is a fully engineered structure coming together from scratch.

The process is moving in stages:

• Fabrication (3–4 weeks) — every beam and connection built to spec
• Hot-dip galvanizing (7–14 days) — protecting the steel for long-term durability near the water
• Delivery & install (7–14 days) — full structure gets erected on-site

We’re currently deep in the fabrication phase—and you can already see the structure taking shape.

Bradford Steel Co Inc is fabricating everything you see here, working off plans developed by Romao-Santos Architects and engineered for this build from the ground up by JLV Structural Consultants.

This is where the terrace stops being an idea and starts becoming something real.

If everything stays on track, you’ll start seeing major progress on-site during the first week of May 2026.

We’re heading into our busiest season and looking for someone who can handle high-volume service and keep a line moving under pressure.

This is not an entry-level position.

We need someone who:

Has real line experience (not just prep)
Can stay fast, organized, and consistent during a rush
Takes ownership of their station and helps the team stay on pace
Communicates clearly and works well under pressure
Can step up and lead when needed

What you’ll be doing:

Running a key station on a fast-paced line
Working closely with the kitchen team during high-volume shifts
Helping maintain ticket flow, quality, and consistency
Supporting overall kitchen operations

What we’re looking for:

5+ years line experience preferred (including sauté, grill & fry)
Ability to handle busy shifts without falling behind
Strong work ethic and reliability
Leadership mindset (even if not in a formal role before)

Competitive pay based on experience and performance
