We are honored to partner with All Our Kin and The Connecticut Project to start a 10-week business series to support a remarkable cohort of refugee women who are taking the first steps toward opening New Haven’e first childcare incubator 🏠

These women bring with them a wealth of knowledge, strength, and lived experience. With interpretation in Arabic, French, Farsi, and Amharic, this series creates a space where women can learn, grow, and prepare to become leaders in early childhood education 📚👩‍🏫

This is what community-powered change looks like: investing in refugee and immigrant women, expanding access to quality childcare, and building economic opportunities that strengthen entire communities.

Through our Childcare Incubator, participants are launching culturally competent childcare businesses 👶

In this meeting with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood, we learn about Elevate, which is the OEC’s quality improvement system for childcare programs in family, group, and center-based settings. Elevate will give us the tools and guidance needed to improve our programs over time⏳📈
