this next pizza on *the menu series* is like the cousin of our classic margherita pie. same idea, but a different vibe.

๐Ÿง„ THE AMERICAN MARGHERITA-
mozz, sliced tomatoes tossed in some fresh garlic, olive olive and salt & pep, and topped with fresh basil when it comes out of the oven.

in the summer we buy our tomatoes (and other produce) from local farms around the area ๐Ÿซถ

crushed tomato sauce, mozz, gram's meatballs, herbed ricotta and hot cherry peppers.

my grandma's meatballs have been our family's favorite for years and years. so when the menu was being planned out, i knew we had to bring that recipe to 163. we add on some ricotta to balance out the heat from the cherry peppers ๐ŸคŒ her recipe. our pizza.

๐Ÿ THE GOAT-
mozz, sautรฉed asparagus and onions, honey goat cheese, and drizzled with cranberry honey jam and basil aioli.

this one started as an appetizer at my parents' restaurant in south florida, where my family lived before they brought their pizza truck up to new haven (where we're originally from) in 2007. in 2011, andrew got hired as a pizza guy on the trucks and here we are! It's been my favorite since the beginning, soooo obviously there was never even a question, if we were opening up this pizza shop, The Goat was coming with us!

it's definitely one of the more wild pizza options on our menu, but try it before you judge it. then come back and apologize ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ•
