Running a small business is already hard enough.
Most people only see the coffee, pastries, and smiling faces at the counter, but behind the scenes are long hours, rising costs, staffing struggles, and constant pressure just to keep the doors open.
Today, after dealing with a hostile delivery driver who refused to follow basic pickup procedures (these procedures are set by DoorDash NOT by us), refused multiple requests to leave our store, and was ultimately banned through DoorDash after prior complaints, we then got hit with a fake one-star Google review from someone who has never even eaten our food, drank our coffee or purchased a single thing from our business.
That stuff hurts small businesses more than people realize.
With that being said, we will NEVER tolerate harassment to our employees or to other customers who dine with us in the shop. We’re not perfect, but we work incredibly hard every day to create a welcoming space for our customers and community. To everyone who supports local businesses with kindness, patience, honest reviews, and encouragement, we thank you. It matters more than you know.
