Today we’re celebrating the beginning pf 2019 in Ethiopia! Through food, music, and community we connect and honor our culture and black history from New Orleans to Addis Ababa.

DORO WOT - The national dish of Ethiopia made with carmalized onions, chicken, and a whole boiled egg is being made/served in damn near ever household today.

TEJ - The ORIGINAL w**e of the world made from local honey and water is the libation of choice to celebrate life and this new year.

COFFEE CEREMONY - A moment to sit and sip on Ethiopian coffee presented through a 1,000 year old tradition normally served at the end of a meal to spark conversation and connection.

There’s so much black history and culture across the world and we’re honored to share ours with you right here in New Orleans. Raise a glass to the Ethiopian New Year this weekend! 🇪🇹✨🦁
