Marna and Frank Brigtsen opened Brigtsen’s Restaurant in 1986 in a Victorian cottage in the Riverbend neighborhood of Uptown New Orleans. A New Orleans native, Chef Frank’s cuisine has a solid foundation in Creole and Acadian traditions while creating contemporary, soul-satisfying dishes utilizing regional foods from local farmers and fishermen. Frank is a protégé of Chef Paul Prudhomme and was th

e first Executive Chef at K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen, a pioneering landmark in the New Orleans restaurant scene. Brigtsen’s Restaurant proudly carries on the traditions of America’s greatest regional cuisines with a hands-on touch in both the kitchen and the dining rooms, where the service is both friendly and refined. Many guests have commented that dining at Brigtsen’s is like eating at someone’s home. Brigtsen’s menu changes with the seasons as Chef Frank personally shops for the very finest in local meats, sea foods, and produce.
