Today I had the privilege of doing one of my favorite things, talk about tea to a great group of ladies.

Today’s focus was on colonial growing of tea, the Tea Acts of 1773, defiance through tea parties that ultimately changed the course of the colonies, and tea in America today.

Melanie told me if I could speak for 15 minutes, that would be great. After sharing my stories and answering questions, it was about 30 minutes.

What can I say, I can talk about tea forever (maybe not forever, but close).

Thank you Melanie, and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, New Port Richey for asking me to share my knowledge with your guests. It was my pleasure!

Have you seen Umbrella Alley?

A huge thank you to Shane from Prestige Pressure & Soft Washing LLC for helping us get the alley back in photo quality order! It’s been so hard to maintain so we appreciate the help so much!

And a second huge shout out to Andrew at Caliper Wellness for not even hesitating to get umbrellas when Shane said we needed them. Thank you so much!

Umbrella Alley is a pretty space to pass through to get to the newly renovated Railroad Square and Cavaliere Square and we can’t thank Shane and Andrew enough for helping us keep this space in tip top shape.

Did you know that every morning, no matter how busy we are at the tearoom, the entire team sits down to enjoy tea before we start our day? 🫖

It’s been a tradition of ours since our Covid closures in 2020.

I find it helps us start our day on the right foot, sharing some time (but rarely pots of tea, each person gets their own pot just like in the tearoom).
