OneSeed was built on real ingredients, so we’ve become obsessive about label language.
These are largely unregulated or loosely defined terms in food:
“Natural”
Can still include preservatives, flavorings, seed oils, and ultra-processed ingredients.
💜 Look for a short ingredient list you recognize.👋🏻
“Healthy”
May be high in sugar, refined carbs, or inflammatory oils.
💜 Check added sugar, fat source, and fiber/protein balance.
“Made with Whole Grains”
Often mostly refined flour with a small amount of whole grain.
💜 First ingredient should be 100% whole grain.
“No Added Sugar”
Can still contain fruit juice concentrate, maltodextrin, or syrups.
💜 Check total sugar and ingredient list.
