Happy Friday our fellow Bordier lovers!
Since we’ve been asked by many of you when we receive our butters, here’s the rundown.
There’s a preorder for Bordier that goes in every two weeks. Order for the shipment on 4/16 was placed two weeks prior, around 4/1 (they also need extra couple of days for processing the orders, etc.).
Production begins once the order is received at the workshop in Noyal-sur-Vilaine (in a region of Brittany). After going through manual intensive production of these beautiful butters, they are shipped to us refrigerated, but never frozen. Bordier asks all the customers to not freeze the butter to maintain its proper texture.
As soon as we receive them, we make them available for purchase in our grab-and-go refrigerator, and the cycle repeats itself every two weeks.
We offer 125g bricks, and the choices will include demi-sel (lightly salted), doux (unsalted) and rotating flavors. Some of the flavors include algues (seaweed), yuzu, sel fumé (smoked salt), piment d’esplette (espelette pepper), huile d’olive citronnée (lemon olive oil), oignon de roscoff (roscoff onion), ail des ours et poivre de kampot (wild garlic and kampot pepper). Demi-sel and doux are almost always available during this cycle, but it’s never guaranteed. Flavored butters are offered in very limited quantity.
I hope this was helpful, and please feel free to DM us for any questions you may have.
