We are a small family owned coffee roasting and tea importing company with a main store at 201 Bleecker Street, in Greenwich village, New York. We roast some of our coffees at our warehouse and roaster in South Slope, Brooklyn and the balance in our store at 201 Bleecker Street. We where founded in 1907 as a retail store supplying the many Italians in the area with products they where used to in I
taly. Coffee beans, Teas Leaves, Botanicals, herbs, Italian bitters like Fernet Branca, dried mushrooms, olive oil, Espresso coffee makers, teapots and brewers as well as coffee, cups teacups and general housewares. Over the years we have expanded the number of coffees and teas we sell. In addition we have a huge assortment of espresso machine parts and gaskets. We repair both home and commercial espresso machines. We have spices, botanicals, unique and fun candies and a small coffee bar in the bar. We can custom blend coffee for you based on what you like and how you drink your coffee or tea. We are strong believers in coffee freedom and encourage customers to drink their brew the way they like it. We roast all our own coffee and supply some of the best cafes and coffee bars in New York City. We roast for Think Coffee and Verb cafe two of the most demanding coffee bars cafes in the city. We import directly from small farms, the two most notable being Finca Los Angeles in Il Salvador and Kona Star farm on the Island of Kona. In 2011 we imported 900 lb. from a tiny Family owned Finca in Colombia. In the fall of 2011 we will be finished renovating our main store at 201 Bleecker Street restarting in store roasting. We have brought our L12 probat roaster back to life after running a new gas line and installing an afterburner. We will be roasting our Organic coffees there as well as offering tasting of all the coffees and teas offered for sale. Peter Longo
