I didn't plan on posting after Party Face closed but I want to thank all the people who have become my friends. I started with the idea of Party Face becoming a family; a family made up not just of cast and crew but also of audience members and people all around the world. That this happened beyond my imagining of it is more special to me than you will ever know. This is one of my favorite pictures. It is of the cast eating delicious Big Gay Ice Cream for a promotion. :)

Special guest The Academy Awards winner Hayley Mills, who’s currently appearing in Off-Broadway’s Party Face Play, thanked the audience and performers for their invaluable support of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Le***an, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.

Party Face is now a memory. We love you Party Face and we will miss knowing that every night City Center Stage II is filled with laughter. We look forward to what is coming next to that space, but also to what is coming next for Hayley Mills, Amanda Bearse, Gina Costigan, Brenda Meaney, Klea Blackhurst, and Allison Jean White. What is coming next for our playwright Isobel Mahon and for the crew? What is coming next for you? Thank you for being part of our family. :)

Sunday April 18, 2018. The last two performances of Party Face. We have had so much fun together. Don't forget to plan to stay late if you are coming to the last performance. Mollie Mae is having a yard sale. She is serving Cloudy Bay and nibbles (no hummus!). There will be a silent auction of many items including but not limited to Hayley Mills' brooch and jacket, the bicycle helmet, the bush, signed posters and cling film wrapped potato chips. Other things will be deeply discounted or free. We wouldn't leave you without asking you on stage to join the party. Cast members are not expected to attend.

Bring your party face! It's happening! Mollie Mae is having a yard sale after the last performance on April 8th. We will be serving Cloudy Bay and nibbles to audience members who are all welcome on stage. We will be auctioning off props and costumes - including Hayley Mills' brooch and jacket, the bicycle helmet, the bush, signed posters and the bag that the nibbles were brought on stage in signed. Many other things. If you want it - ask for it!! You can take stones from the area surrounding the set for free. All merchandise will be deeply discounted. It is going to be fun! Cast members are not expected to attend.

Amanda Bearse is amazing as Bernie but we haven't forgotten Klea. We still love you Klea! This is what she wrote before she play her last performances on April 1st:
Well, today's the day I have NOT been looking forward to... My final two performances of Party Face. (the show goes on for another week. I will be heading off to another adventure. And that's another story!) We started this job on December 18, had our first preview on January 11 and celebrated a fabulous opening night on January 22. See how we all look at Hayley? That's about right. We ADORE her (me most of all apparently!) and I love each of these women in that way that casts end up loving each other. I haven't had a run like this while LIVING AT HOME since Oil City Symphony in the last century. I have appreciated every single day with a job. I have loved our dressing room. I have appreciated every friend from far and near who made the effort to catch the show. I am truly sorry to see this end. If your Easter plans permit, feel free to come see my tears. They will be real.

This is the rehearsal room where Party Face began. It's hard to believe there are so few performances left. It is a joy to have met so many wonderful people, on stage and off. It was a joy to watch Amanda gently and lovingly help Party Face reach its full potential of humor and human feeling.
