Fishing was pretty good today aboard the Riptide III!

Our regular Sunday group was on board, and they were putting plenty of fish in the boat. Everyone had a great time, the weather was beautiful, and the Long Island Sound couldn't have looked any better.

Why not come down and join the fun? We sail every day at 8:00 AM for bottom fishing, and there's plenty of action to be had.

*Midday Report from the Riptide III*

Fishing is pretty good today on the Long Island Sound! Anglers all around the boat are reeling up some nice-sized porgies, and the action has been steady throughout the day.

Everyone is having a wonderful time, the fish are coming aboard, and the smiles are everywhere. If you're looking for a great day on the water, now is the time to come fishing!

It didn’t seem like a remarkable day , no fast and furious bites but at the end of the day there were some anglers with nice catches and some with only 5-6 in the bucket 🤷🏼‍♂️

Phew, it was a scorcher out on the water today, but we still managed to put together a decent catch of porgies! 🎣☀️

We had a nice crowd aboard, and the porgies were putting up a good fight. To top it off, we landed two mackerels as well!

🎣 What an absolutely gorgeous day on the water today aboard the Riptide III!

While the porgy fishing was on the slower side today. We still managed to get on some fish and put together a nice catch. We also landed a beautiful striped bass, which was a great bonus to the day!!

Yikes the fishing gods must be angry ⚡️🫯⚡️ the conditions today were abominable but we chugged up to grounds where it has been most productive 🎣🎣and we’re disappointed to say the least🫤 we stuck it out till a little after 1(one) and only managed 35-40 fish for the day 😖 there were times during the week that we saw that many fish in 15-20 minutes 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Think Catherine or Jimmy were high liners with 4 or 5 apiece 🎣We will be back at it again 8am tomorrow 8am Porgies 8am

Well we had a most delightful day on western LIS 🎣 we spent Saturday and Sunday in the greater Smithtown Bay Area , Saturdays trip we read them on the scope in multiple places but just couldn’t get them to eat very well 🤷🏼‍♂️
On Sunday we went back up there and they decided to chew a bit some of the Sunday high liners tally up 16-18 🎣guess average 4-6 and some nuns and ones too 🎣🎣

Well not much to report on the fishing front . It has certainly been one of the poorest starts of the season. Sometimes I think we think of fish like the swallows of Capistrano 🤷🏼‍♂️ but the water is warming and hopefully they’ll be here in mass before we know it 🎣
