From the Flower District to Mimi’s 🫶🏻

When I source flowers for a cake, I start with a color palette and a rough vision. It’s hard to know what the final design will look like until the flowers are in my hands and I start placing them on the cake.

Unlike most cake designs, floral cakes can’t be fully planned or sketched beforehand. Flowers have unique proportions, movement, and colors. I’ve been loving leaning into this newly creative, challenging, and therapeutic process.
