First and foremost GOOOOKNICKSSSS they are all honorary Petunias, unbeknownst to them, and they can do no wrong!

You know what else can do no wrong? This new pasta entry. Big shout out the amazing Italian region that is Calabria and where this little magical dish comes from. Fusilli al Ferretto with Nduja, so a little spicy, the best cherry tomatoes from Stoke’s at the farmers market, nice fried eggplants and fragrant basil. My tastebuds are still happy dancing…oh no sorry it was EW! That ndujaaaaaa yummm

Hello my little Petunias and super happy late spring Monday to one and all.

It is always a delicious Monday when we have artichokes, like today. Please swipe to see what I mean when I tell Babycakes to back off the guanciale 😂😂😂 but can we blame him?
Yesterday you ate almost all the strawberries so I cleaned whatever I had for today and come early.

Soft shell crabs are back and so are agretti and do not sleep on the delicious cutlet with melted mozzarella and marinated cold cherry and grape tomatoes.

Bitey Paccheri with naughty fried eggplants (sweetest baby eggplants I got in da Bronx), the eggplants are naughty because they always try to hide in the Paccheri, magical tomato basil sauce and topped with a dollop of ricotta. A very favorite!

Happy rainy Sunday my adorably delicious little Petunias, of course Sunday means lasagna BUT here is an extra special treat courtesy of yesssss the first “Fiori di Zucca” squash blossoms alla romana of the season, stuffed with mozzarella and divine anchovies, fried roman tempura style for all the feels.

i know you have been asking for them and I am so glad that these little rays of flowery delicious sunshine make their season premier today!

Crispy striped bass from organic non gmo slow cooked blue polentina and lovely Arrabbiata sauce What can I say? Ingredients, ingredients, ingredients and LOVE. Super terrible Fettuccine fatte in casa ai frutti di mare, green garlic, ramps, ramps and more ramps, mussels and vongole on and off the shells, sweetest grape tomatoes from “Stoke’s” at the market and a touch of peperoncino calabrese. Could not stop eating!

Other ramps things because last week for these beauties and got a ton of organic Japanese scallion at Norwich Meadows this morning because “Cipollata”, soft shell crab, mussels and LOVE

It is not that i do not want to taste the gnocchi, I would LOVE to, just that I am busy fixing a few things and I need to get done.

But bank god for loveliest regulars who ordered them and are letting me taking a video. Here they are in all their Thursday gnocchiness: German Butterball potatoes gnocchi alla Gricia with caramelized ramps. Petuniasssss happy happy happy Monday and I am super duper excited about this pasta that we served back in May 2022 and then forgot about…I mean, I forgot and I am so happy that my surviving neurons remembered and I get to serve it to you today for a very special Monday treat.
Small batch spaghettoni, spring garlic, ramps, sweet cherry and grape tomatoes, crispy guanciale, peperoncino calabrese and shaved pecorino….so so so so bad.
And for an extra surprise Babycakes is around and tasting with us. Yes we are all here early on a cleaning mission and we did it!!!!

Local, wild and crazy filet of cod from in a white slightly spicy Puttanesca sauce with many twists: ramps, green garlic, green olives from Calabria, capers from Sicily, peperoncino Calabrese for a tiny heat and white wine. Terrible!

Rigatoni creamy vodka sauce, wild DAYBOAT shrimps and crispy guanciale amongst many other things.
