Dear Friends of Caffe Linda,

We have some bittersweet news. After seventeen years, fifteen in its current location, Caffe Linda has come to the end of its lease. The restaurant will serve its final dinner Saturday, July 25th.

Claudio opened Caffe Linda in 1998 in the basement of a Benetton Store in the Scribner Building at 597 Fifth Avenue. It was his declaration of love to his future wife Linda, and it was an instant hit. In 2000, it moved to its current location, where we have been delighted to welcome you ever since.

While this is a sad moment for us, it is also a hopeful one. The love has moved downtown, to Da Claudio at 21 Ann Street, in Lower Manhattan. Da Claudio is a beautiful new space where we will now be concentrating all of our efforts. At Da Claudio, we continue our tradition of lovingly prepared Italian food, with a focus on local seasonal ingredients.

We hope many of our beloved employees from Caffe Linda will be joining us. And, more than anything, we hope that you, our customers and friends, will find your way to Ann Street. We thank you for all these great years and look forward to many more together.

Read about our latest labor of love, Da Claudio Ristorante e Salumeria, soon to open at 21 Ann Street in the heart of Lower Manhattan, two years after Hurricane Sandy.
