Wednesday greetings pie-romaniacs! Paperwork completed, we are now able to announce who's purchased the pie. McDonalds. Hahahaha! The esteemed Steel Horse Smokehouse will be in the house. See? Told ya it would be fantastic. This is not simply barbecue.These folks are pit masters by trade and bring with them years of expertise. Their goal is to open asap, but some major changes have to be made as are concepts are so very different. So the Pie will be open through Sunday until 9:00, one more brunch in the works. After that, let's show them a big Flying Pie welcome.

Greetings Pie Peeps. This is your Flying Pie Captain & do I have a p.s.a. for you. The pie has been sold & we'll be closed at 9:00 p.m. as of July 14th. I KNOW! This is a fantastic opportunity for the new owners who are talented & dedicated & will identify themselves on their terms, there's not a doubt in our minds they'll fly as high as we did. For our swan song, we're throwing a big farewell party this Thursday, music courtesy of BJ & The Hot Flash, they start at 6:30 but drop in anytime for a premium pie, fantastic entree, gelato or one of our 20 craft drafts at Newberry's only craft draft beer restaurant .We thank you for your patronage & madcap hi jinx of the last 10 years, it's truly been a slice!

Another triple digit day? Oh bother.. today's fix? Come on into The Flying Pie for some house made ice cream & gelato! This week we have chocolate Valencia orange, Madagascar vanilla bean, butter pecan, strawberry cheesecake, blue ridge blackberry, key lime and ripe raspberry, whew! No artificial ingredients or preservatives, our ice creams are made right here, not in some factory. Come and chill!
