To every trans & nonbinary person reading this 💙

If this season feels heavy instead of joyful - if you’re spending it alone, bracing yourself around family, being misgendered, hiding parts of who you are, or just trying to get through the day - please know this: you are not broken, and you are not alone.

You deserve safety. You deserve rest. You deserve to be seen & loved exactly as you are, and for who you are. Not someday, but right now.

I’m sending you so much love, gentleness & solidarity this week. Take what you need, leave what you don’t & move at your own pace. Your existence is powerful. Your joy matters. And the world is better because you’re in it.

Holding you close this season 🤍

PS boundaries are awesome. Take care of yourself in the ways that are possible.

Together, we will honor the lives of trans and gender-expansive people past and present, mourn those lost to anti-trans violence, and lift up a vision of a future grounded in justice and joy. This service is an opportunity to come together in love, resilience, and solidarity as we remember, resist, and rise.
Sponsored by the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton and co-sponsored by Congregation Dorshei Tzedek, Eliot Church of Newton, First Church in Chestnut Hill, Myrtle Baptist Church, Newton Highlands Congregational Church, Newton Presbyterian Church, Second Church in Newton, St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, Temple Beth Avodah, Temple Shalom, The Union Church in Waban, and United Parish of Auburndale.

Happy National Coming Out Day 🩷❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🩶🤍🤎
We see you. You are valued. We love you. You are supported. 🥰

🌈 Thinking About Coming Out? You’re Not Alone. 🌈
Coming out is a powerful step in living authentically — but it’s also deeply personal and can look different for everyone. 💖
Here are a few tips to help you come out safely and confidently —
✨ 1. Take your time. There’s no “right” way or timeline. Come out when you feel ready.
✨ 2. Start with someone you trust. A friend, family member, or ally who makes you feel safe can be a great first step.
✨ 3. Plan for support. Whether it’s a friend, counselor, or community group — have someone to talk to after you share your story.
✨ 4. Celebrate your courage. Coming out takes bravery. Be proud of every step you take toward being your true self. 🌟
