Thanks for supporting our little farm! 🤍

Kyle and I spent the day getting the farm ready before the next big storm rolls in. 🌧️

We hooked up our rainwater recycle system to help supply water to the pig pen, then turned our attention to the fence line the hay hut took out. Dug in a new post, reset what was down, and got everything secured back up.

Nothing a little elbow grease and sweat can’t fix around here. 💪🌾

🦃❤️ Live update on our rescued poult!

We’re going live to show everyone this little turkey we helped save.

When we first brought it in, we weren’t sure it would make it through the night—it was exhausted and in rough shape. But this little fighter pulled through 🤍

We’ve had it under heat, giving Poultry Cell and chick grit, and it’s already looking much better this morning—more alert and stronger.

Join us live to see how it’s doing and help us figure out a possible breed 🦃✨

🌸 A Poem for June

Our sweet girl June is taking her time, Roaming the yard in her pregnant prime.
She visits the porch for a hello and a sweet moo,
Then wanders off to do what mamas-to-be do.

She tracks through the grass with a heavy,
slow grace,
Looking for just the right, private space.
With a cozy open stall when the night turns chill,
She chooses her spots at her own sweet will.

We are watching and waiting for that magical day,
When a tiny new calf will be running to play.
But for now, she’s our queen, ruling yard and the shed,
With big gentle eyes and a beautifully full bed.

✨ June Watch: Day… we’ve honestly lost count. 🤣🐮
Last night, Shay was laying right beside June, keeping her company. There’s something so sweet about watching the herd look after one another. ❤️
June has even more mucus today, and her udder is noticeably fuller, so she’s continuing to make progress—but she’s still taking her time.
After the storm rolled through earlier, it brought a much-needed cool breeze. Tonight, June spent the evening in the yard with us while we ate dinner and watched the fireworks. 🎆 She looked relaxed and seemed to appreciate the cooler weather after all the heat.
She’s still eating, happy, and acting like June… keeping us all patiently waiting. Whenever she’s ready, we’ll be ready too. 🤎🐄

👎 Me after Mother Nature decided our hay hut needed a new address… 🌪️🌾😅

That storm was no joke! It picked up our hay hut from across the road, carried it into our horse fence, and even took out part of our neighbor’s tree—with hay still inside it! 😳

Thankfully, no one was hurt, and that’s what matters most. ❤️

Meanwhile, Kyle and I were waist-deep in the Susquehanna bass fishing when the storm rolled in. We had to make our way back through the wind and waves, and I swear it felt like we were walking through the ocean! 🌊🎣

What a wild evening! We hope everyone else made it through safely. Stay safe out there—it was a nasty one! 🙏💙

📸 Photo credit to our wonderful neighbors, who graciously snapped these photos after the storm. We’re so thankful for their kindness—and for the fact that they laughed the whole thing off instead of worrying about the tree! We sure are blessed with the best neighbors. ❤️🌳

🦃❤️ We helped save this little turkey today!

A huge thank you to the kind couple who found this little one, took the time to stop, and reached out to make sure it had a safe place to go. Your compassion gave this tiny poult a fighting chance. ❤️

This sweet baby was found with some banged-up toes and covered in sticky tree sap. Our best guess is that it may have fallen off a truck during transport, but we really don’t know.

We’ve got it warm, safe, and cleaned up as much as possible, and we’re hoping this little fighter pulls through. 🤞

Does anyone happen to know what breed it might be? We’d love any help with identification! I’m wondering if it’s possibly a Bourbon Red. It has a reddish tint that doesn’t show well in these photos, and it definitely doesn’t look like our White poults.

Keep this tiny turkey in your thoughts—we’ll keep everyone updated. ❤️
