Last Friday, Tai Au, board member at the Eastern Chamber and chef-owner of Au Restaurant Group, celebrated with the community to honor Kathie Verano, CEO of Safe Futures, as the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut’s 75th Citizen of the Year.

Tai said, “Kathie’s leadership and dedication inspire us all. This award reflects her profound impact through hard work and compassion, ensuring her legacy will last for generations.”
