One of the things we love most about living and working in a small town is seeing neighbors come together to make a difference.

📖 **Steeped in Stories**

Before this was Spill the Tea Tearoom, it was someone's home.

Not long ago, Rosa Hatfield stopped by and shared a story that touched our hearts. She told us that her grandparents built this beautiful house. As a little girl, she spent countless happy hours here with her family. Her parents were married here, and she even shared treasured photographs of loved ones inside the house and standing in the yard many years ago.

As we listened, we realized something remarkable.

Long before teapots filled these tables and guests gathered for afternoon tea, this house was already doing what it does best—it was bringing people together.

Generations have laughed here.
Families have celebrated here.
Stories have been shared here.
Love has always lived here.

Today, we're honored to continue that legacy by welcoming new friends, celebrating life's special moments, and creating memories that will one day become someone else's story.

Today we're celebrating a very special person—my husband, **Don!**

Many of you have met Don during your visits to Spill the Tea Tearoom. Whether he's lending a helping hand, greeting guests, tackling behind-the-scenes projects, or jumping in wherever he's needed, he's an important part of what makes this little tearoom feel like home.

Owning a small business truly is a family adventure, and I'm so thankful to share this journey with him. His steady support and willingness to do whatever needs to be done have helped turn a dream into a place where so many wonderful memories are made.

Have you ever wondered why a cup of tea seems to taste just a little better when you're enjoying it in a tearoom?

Part of it is using quality loose-leaf tea and brewing it at the proper temperature. But there's another ingredient you can't find in a recipe...

The atmosphere.

A beautifully set table. A pretty teacup. Good conversation. Time to slow down. The gentle clink of china. Freshly baked treats. All of these little things become part of the experience.

Tea has a wonderful way of inviting us to pause and simply enjoy the moment.

We believe that's one of the reasons people return to the tearoom again and again—not just for the tea, but for how they feel while they're here.
