I have to brag on my better half. Sommer Barham really took brisket leftovers to a new level with this Steak and Ale Pie. This was so outstanding! It may become the post-competition tradition in the Barham household. Note the “crown” as a hat tip to our British neighbors across the Atlantic. (My 16 year old son ate half of it and we appreciate him leaving a little for the rest of us.)

Yesterday’s Swine had a few firsts this weekend. A 3rd Place Chili brought home the first check for the team! In the KCBS barbecue competition, I got my first call; 6th place brisket!! Overall, Yesterday’s Swine placed 13th with some really good scores in a number of areas. Not too shabby for my second competition!

Thanks to Tyler King for helping out. A special thanks to Derrick Huff for organizing RAW BBQ Competition. What a great event! Congratulations to new friends, Rooters-N-Tooters for winning the GC.
