Just east of Zimber Creek and west of Mohler’s Hardware and Mathie’s, you will find the signs that mark the town of Marchand, Ohio. Joseph Marchand (1825-1889), a son of French immigrants, was an enterprising young man who founded Marchand. Although beginning as a farmer, Joseph Marchand was soon able to branch out after selling a strip of his land to the railroad.

On July 3rd, 2026, we lost a very important part of Palombo’s Italian Restaurant — Maria.

Maria came to us as a regular hire, but quickly became so much more than that. She became family. She was a part of the heart of Palombo’s and played such an important role in helping make this place what it is today.

We are completely heartbroken by her passing. If you knew Maria, you loved her. She had a way of making people feel cared for, welcomed, and special.

We were truly honored to be a part of Maria’s life, and even more honored to have had her be a part of ours.

Please keep Maria’s family, friends, and everyone who loved her in your prayers during this difficult time. ❤️

Palombo’s Italian Restaurant will be closed July 3rd, 4th, and 5th so our team can enjoy the holiday weekend with their families.

We will reopen on Monday, July 6th.

Palombo’s will also be having its first trivia night starting at 7pm! We would love to see everyone there!
