To My Loving Community:
I would like to apologize to all of you for my silence since I
closed the doors at Valone’s. This has been a very heartbreaking
time for me. Unfortunately, with a heavy heart, I am
notifying all of you that Valone’s, along with our food, has come
to an end.
I do know that there are a lot of rumors going around and I
would ask that you ignore them. The only people that know the
true reason for my closing Valone’s, are my family. My family
has stuck by me during this tough time, and we as a family
have decided that we will not be sharing our recipes or
ingredients with anyone. Valone’s was a family business that
for 43, almost 44 years, we have worked tirelessly to keep
going. Our flavor was one-of-a-kind, and we worked hard to
make it that way.
To be clear, THE VALONE’S (BROOKLYN GROCERY) BUSINESS HAS NOT BEEN SOLD, AND OUR RECIPES REMAIN PROPRIETARY!
I just want to thank you, our community, for your patronage and
support through the years. I will miss seeing all of your faces;
you truly made my job so much more enjoyable. I will miss
bringing our delicious food to your tables.
