Invasive and edible the Garlic Mustard plant was brought to New England in the mid-1800’s as a culinary green but with it’s immense seed yield, early foliation and allopathic properties, the Garlic Mustard plant has been spreading and out competing native species for centuries. In present day, naturalists are making exceptional & localized efforts to control the spread and protect native plants and wild flower habitat.

On beer choices - you know what suits you but if you like a little summer beer exploration and appreciate locally grown food.. put this TULSI BASIL WHEAT on your list. Light and refreshing but subtly herbal with a touch of basil spice on the finish. Tulsi is the queen of the basil varieties with a deep history in medicine and healing. This brew showcases her range beautifully. A hat tip and glass raised to our friends over at for growing the perfect basil & to the brewer for bringing it all together.

1776-2026 | We raise a glass of cold, small batch beer brewed with US grown ingredients to this nation and it's citizens of "we the people" on our 250th birthday. Thank you to our veterans and service members, thank you to farmers and small business owners, thank you to our first nations, thank you to community members that uplift the collective with compassion and service. That is many sips in gratitude, with many more to follow - probably want to have another cold brewski on the ready.

Combo of the weekend! The zippy Dandelion Sour with our perch tacos(special for dad’s weekend & LCI Derby).

Beer - Dandelion Sour is delightfully tart & delicate notes of pollen.
Tacos - deep fried winter perch with fresh Napa cabbage slaw, pickled onions, southwest sauce & cilantro in corn tortilla.

Get on up to North Hero to savor these flavors!

North Hero Taproom update : Rain & strong wind have squelched our fire and pizza making for today(Thursday, 6.18) find us back tomorrow(Friday, 6.19) with all the pizzas, a Buffalo Chicken 'Za special, salads of local green/veg and FISH TACOS to kick off the celebration of Lake Champlain International's Father's Day Fishing Derby.

Today the taproom with have warm, soft pretzels with maple-mustard. It is also national picnic day today so please also feel free to byo picnic too.
