Helicon Brewing is a 15 barrel production brewing facility and draft room located in Oakdale, PA right outside of Pittsburgh on the Panhandle Trail. Here are some FAQ to help:

Do you serve food?:

We do not not serve food, however, there are several excellent restaurants within walking distance of the brewery and some that also deliver right to the taproom. Please feel free to carry out and carry

in! Do you take reservations?:

Our 40 seat taproom is first come first serve seating and we are more than happy to serve you at the bar. What is your parking situation?:

We have our own parking lot and ample space. As we are located right off the Panhandle Trail, we even have bike racks for your cycling convenience. Where does the name Helicon come from?:

Our name comes from the first paragraph of the first page of the book The History of Oakdale Borough:

"Although the official history of Oakdale began in 1892, the real history of the town began earlier than that. The land on which Oakdale is situated was originally part of a 400 acre tract of land which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania granted to Judge Hugh Henry Brackenridge on April 11, 1778. In the original warrant, the name given to this land is called Mt. Helicon, a name from Greek mythology, the sacred home of the Muses." Finishing off the name is our Helicon logo which is comprised of a Greek harp with a barley stem in through middle.

Due to vacation schedules, the May Brewery Bingo event was pushed back a week to this coming Sunday, June 7th at 12:30pm! Guest caller Mayor Steve always packs the house!

Free to play and prizes for participation! $5 Bloody Marys along with happy hour draft beers to enjoy as well. Milos Mediterranean food truck will be here starting at noon!

Today we tapped our Session Hazy IPA! This one is made with LUPOMAX - Krush and Galaxy hops and is already a hit with our guests.

We will be open regular hours 11am-10pm on Memorial Day, 5/25.

The food truck lineup this weekend is absolutely excellent--Friday Streets on the Fly is back, Saturday is Two Gunz BBQ, and Sunday is Hummus Pittsburgh.

Our American IPA is finally back on tap! We will also be tapping our Oatmeal Stout on Friday and our Session Hazy IPA early next week.

The food trucks lineup is great this weekend, and the weather looks pretty good too.
Friday, 5/15: 2.5greeks, 5pm-8pm

Sunday, 5/17: HibachiLou412, 12pm-8pm

Also, this coming Sunday is the 3rd Sunday of the month, so we will be holding our monthly strikes pinball tournament. It's free to enter and lot of fun!

Our Slovenian Pilsner is back on tap! We'll be distributing a few kegs to some great local beers spots so keep an eye out for it if you can't make it to the brewery. Also, our food truck lineup is absolutely fantastic this weekend:

Friday: Pastrami Jack's, 5pm-8pm
Saturday: HibachiLou412, 1pm-8pm
Sunday: Cousins Maine Lobster, noon-8pm, and Happy Mother's Day!!!

We just tapped our German Pale Ale, a nod to the Kölsch brews in the Cologne region of Germany. Fittingly, a very German food truck--Holzinger’s Imbiss--will be here for the first time on Saturday, 5/2 from noon to 8pm.

The food truck schedule for the rest of the weekend is also pretty great! Big Lou’s will be here Friday, 5/1, 5pm-8pm and Hummus Pittsburgh will be here Sunday, 5/3, noon-8pm.

Saturday, Pigs in Paradise, 12pm-7pm, also Pittsburgh Pinball League combined finals!
Sunday, Milos Mediterranean, 12pm-7pm, also our regular 3rd Sunday Strikes pinball tournament!

Also, this coming Tuesday is the Iron City Pinball league finals!

At the request of staff, we are open regular hours this weekend: 11am-10pm Friday and Saturday, and 11am-9pm Sunday. We also have food trucks schedule for Thursday and Saturday! Thursday is the first ever appearance of Pastrami Jack's (https://www.pastramijacks.com/ ) 5pm-8pm and Saturday is Two Gunz BBQ noon-8pm or while supplies last!

It's a beautiful day for the opening game and an IPA! Yesterday we tapped our Hazy IPA (left) and last week we tapped our American IPA (right). Both are pouring crisp and excellent.

This coming Sunday, 3/29, is Brewery Bingo featuring Mayor Steve as the guest caller! 12:30pm start same as happy hour. Free to play and prizes for participation! We will also be doing $5 Bloody Marys while supplies last!

It's a banner day for pinball at the brewery! Not only did two Pokémons arrive, but we also finally received our Harry Potter Wizard Edition!!

Also, the Iron City Pinball League starts tomorrow. It's Tuesday evenings at the brewery for 6 weeks. Open to all ages and skill levels. Absolutely a blast and worth checking out!
