This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write.
After a lot of thought and many sleepless nights, I’ve made the difficult decision to step back from La Birria SuPerb and see what the future holds.
This isn’t me giving up. I’ve fought hard to keep this dream alive, but with food, supplies, fuel, and everything else continuing to rise, it’s become harder to keep going without raising prices more than I feel is fair to the people who have supported us all along. I never wanted that burden to fall on you.
These past five years have meant so much more than serving food. They’ve been about meeting incredible people, becoming part of this community, helping where we could, and building something I’m truly proud of. We’ve always hoped to be able to help the community by feeding the homeless and anybody hungry whenever we could.
We don’t have an exact closing date yet, but the next couple of weeks will most likely be our last days serving. Until then, we’ll keep doing what we love and hope to see as many familiar faces as possible.
Right now, I need to step away and figure out what comes next.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who supported us, shared our posts, came to eat, booked us for events, and believed in this little food truck. You made this dream possible.
I’m holding onto hope that this isn’t goodbye forever. Maybe one day, when things improve, we’ll be back stronger and serving this amazing community again.
Thank you for five unforgettable years, every meal shared, every kind word, and every bit of support. We hope to see you over the next couple of weeks before we say, “See you later.”
