Another news station reached out to share our story, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to spread an important message.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from this experience, it’s that you can never be too careful when it comes to protecting your business. Secure your equipment, invest in cameras if you can, and make sure your insurance coverage is up to date. You never think you’ll need it until you do.

We’re thankful that something negative could be turned into a reminder that may help another small business avoid going through the same thing.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along with our journey and continued to support local businesses 💜

Mahalo for the tremendous support the Omaha community has shown us! We’re truly blown away! We’re very thankful for each one of you. We’re back in service today at from 11am-1pm and from 4pm-9pm with live music from .devencamat ! Don’t miss out on some live Hawaiian reggae music tonight! Also we just wanted to let everyone know we did get our new cable in and we’re taking safety mesures to secure it. Thank you for everyone’s feedback, it truly helped us know what our next step was with our cable. Again Mahalo from the bottom of hearts for all the continued love and support!

We are still blown away by the love and support our community has shown us over the past few days.

What started as a simple video to inform our customers about the theft of our power cable, the loss of inventory, and the fact that we would be closed until further notice quickly took on a life of its own. We never expected the video to reach so many people, and we are incredibly grateful for every share, comment, message, and word of encouragement.

Because of the overwhelming response, Channel 6 & 7 reached out and asked to do a story on our situation. We were honored to share our experience, but more importantly, we wanted to use the opportunity to spread awareness.

If there’s one thing we hope people take away from our story, it’s this: always secure your belongings, invest in security cameras if possible, and make sure you have the proper insurance coverage. You never think something like this will happen to you until it does.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported our family and Beyond The Lumpia Spot. We are proud to be part of such an amazing community! 💜

We wanted to share one additional detail that wasn’t included in today’s update video.

Before we posted the original video, we immediately filed a police report and also filed an insurance claim for the inventory we lost.

Our goal with that video was simply to inform everyone about what happened and let our customers know that we would be closed until further notice while we worked through the situation. We honestly never expected the video to reach so many people or receive the amount of support that it did.

We are incredibly grateful for all the shares, comments, messages, and words of encouragement. Thank you for standing behind our family and our small business during this difficult time. We truly appreciate our community.

Update from Beyond The Lumpia Spot 🌺

We are truly overwhelmed by all the love and support we’ve received since yesterday’s video. What started as us sharing our situation has turned into an outpouring of kindness from our community, and we can’t thank you enough.

We’ve received hundreds of comments, messages, shares, and words of encouragement. We wish we had the time to respond to every single one, but please know that we are reading them and appreciate each and every one of you.

We will be OPEN TONIGHT from 5:00 PM–8:00 PM at Pint 9 Brewing in La Vista. If you’re able to stop by and support us, we’d love to see you.

We do ask for your patience as we’re currently operating with one fryer down and temporarily running on a household power cord while we wait for our replacement cord to arrive. We’re doing everything we can to continue serving our customers and keep moving forward.

Because of the support this story has received, you may also see us featured on Channel 6 and Channel 7 News in the coming days. They reached out to us after seeing the response from the community and wanted to share our story.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your support means more to our family than words can express. 💜🌴

Here’s the big news! We’re bringing back Aloha Omaha & this time bigger! Can’t wait! Don’t forget to follow the page! 💜🌴

Aloha Omaha is coming back to downtown Omaha!

After welcoming over 2,000 attendees to our inaugural event in 2026, we’re excited to officially announce that Aloha Omaha returns on May 1, 2027, at Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront.

What started as a vision to share Hawaiian, Filipino, and Pacific Island cultures through food, music, performances, and community has grown into something truly special, and we’re just getting started.

We’re already hard at work planning an even bigger experience while staying true to what made our first year successful: culture, community, food, music, and aloha.

Save the date and stay tuned for future announcements, including vendors, food trucks, performers, sponsors, and more.
