Here’s an interview our Paul Kulik did with chefs Jennifer Coco and Glenn Wheeler about the evolution in Omaha restaurants. It was a fun one!

Omaha is a rising culinary powerhouse with award-winning chefs and a host of James Beard nominations.

But it wasn’t always that way.

There had to be a wave of talented chefs that led the movement, chefs that proved it was OK to perfect their craft in Omaha instead of moving to bigger cities. They paved the way for the rising culinary stars in Omaha today to make their impact.

And I was lucky enough to have three of them as my guests on the live Restaurant Hoppen podcast. Jenny Coco (j. Coco; The Linden House), Glenn Wheeler (Spencer's for Steaks and Chops), and Paul Kulik (Le Bouillon) joined me to discuss what Omaha’s restaurant scene looked like in the past and how it’s evolved, the trends they see evolving in Omaha, the importance of Omaha being recognized nationally, and more.

This was truly a special panel and makes for a must-listen episode for any historian of the Omaha food scene. Thanks to Arbor Day Farm and Certified Piedmontese for sponsoring the podcast, which you can watch or listen on all your favorite platforms!
