We will be at the Chenango County Fair for our next stop. The fair is going on from 8/7 - 8/11. We will be serving our many flavors of iced coffee, assorted parfaits, and sloppy joes ( Philly cheesesteak, bbq pork, and Buffalo chicken). If you happen to be there, stop by and check us out and say hello šŸ™‚

The Afton Fair was a success for us! Thank you to everyone who supported us this past weekend. We appreciate each and every one of you ā¤ļø It was a good event to get our feet wet with. It definitely was a learning curve and we have discovered that we have some more tweaking to do with the layout of the food truck to make it as efficient as possible but we will get there šŸ˜‰ This weekend we will be at Eklunds Fireworks, Saturday, July 27th at 3pm. Stop by and enjoy some good food, a great show, association with your friends and neighbors, and support your local fire department. Hope to see you all there! šŸ™‚

We are officially a mobile restaurant on wheels! We got our permit to operate this week. Our first stop is the Afton Fair 7/18 - 7/21. We will be offering walking tacos in four flavors and walking desserts in four flavors, and iced coffee. If you happen to visit the fair next week, stop by and see us!

Iā€™m so excited!!! My food trailer is finally here! Iā€™m one step closer to reopening and serving my customers again šŸ˜Š Here are some pics of it. Now there is some work to be done revamping it with equipment that will serve my needs and work for what I intend to do. Good news is that I pretty much have most of the equipment I need already from the restaurant so I only need to purchase a couple more items šŸ™‚ Iā€™ll be submitting paperwork for my inspection and hopefully they can get me scheduled for that soon.

Hello Everyone,
This post is my most dreaded one and is effective immediately.

Bad News -
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we have decided to close down the restaurant.
After much careful consideration and weighing everything out, we have decided that we need to take things in a different direction. This has been a very difficult decision and one that we went back and forth on many times over as we wanted to be as certain as we possibly could that we were making the best decision for us. There are many reasons for this decision but the biggest one is financial. We ran all the numbers and we had a deficit of roughly $13,000 our first 6 weeks in operation. We were not able to even make weekly payroll without taking it out of our personal savings account to cover it. While we do realize that it takes time for a business to grow and become established, we honestly thought it would do better than it has since itā€™s right on a main busy highway but, unfortunately, that hasnā€™t been the case. People just donā€™t realize we are there despite everything that we have tried to do to make that known. We simply cannot continue to be financially hit like that week after week after week or we will be broke and homeless in a matter of months. Itā€™s such a bummer because we had already developed our group of faithful regulars and steadily continued to get a few new customers in weekly. It was my goal to bring something to Oneonta that nobody else offered - homestyle cooking with fast food convenience and I did that. My only wish is that I couldā€™ve done it much much longer. To my regulars - Iā€™m so sorry I wasnā€™t able to serve you longer. It was a pleasure meeting and chatting with many of you! To my missed potential customers - Iā€™m sorry we never got the chance to meet and serve you.

Good News -
We bought a food truck! We decided it would be better to go to where the people are rather than relying on the people to find us. This means that even though the restaurant will no longer be open, we will still be around and serving food! Going this route will save us a lot of overhead allowing us to continue our journey in the food service industry. No more monthly rent, monthly utility bills, monthly phone/WiFi bill, monthly liability insurance, etc will save us a ton of money so we can keep serving you.
