📢 New Summer Meals Pickup Option Beginning Tuesday, June 9! 🍎🥪🥛

We're excited to announce another way for children to access free summer meals!

Beginning Tuesday, June 9, families may pick up meals in the front office at Harrelson School Monday through Thursday while Summer Learning Camp is in session.

✔️ Monday–Wednesday: Children will receive a lunch for that day and a breakfast for the following day.

✔️ Thursday: Children will receive meals to cover the extended weekend, including lunches for Thursday–Sunday and breakfasts for Friday–Monday.

📝 No registration is required. Children should be present when meals are picked up.

This pickup option will be available through June 25.

📅 Beginning June 29, meals will continue to be available at Harrelson, but distribution will move to a Monday–Friday schedule and pickup times will change. We'll share those details as we get closer to that date.

As always, all meals are free for children ages 0–18. Please help us spread the word so more children in our community can stay nourished all summer long! ☀️❤️

📢 Summer Feeding Update! 📢

We are excited to announce a change to two of our distribution sites beginning tomorrow, Monday, June 8.

❌ Crestview Manor – Closing
❌ Lakewood – Closing

✅ Cottage Grove Baptist Church – Opening
✅ Park Village Apartments – Opening

Our team will be set up and ready to serve at these new locations starting tomorrow. We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word so that everyone who relies on these services knows where to find us.

📚🥪 What a week for Summer Meals in Henry County!

This week and weekend, our School Nutrition team distributed over 7,000 meals to children across Henry County, helping ensure that kids have access to nutritious food throughout the summer.

Today, we were excited to partner with the Henry County Family Resource Center to provide more than just meals. Children at Morningside Village and Washington Courts were able to receive books to take home, encouraging a love of reading while staying nourished during the summer months.

We believe that summer is a time to feed both growing bodies and growing minds, and today’s partnership was a wonderful example of that mission in action.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and community partners who help make opportunities like this possible for the children of Henry County! ❤️📚🥛

Weekend meals are being distributed today by our amazing Summer Staff at all Summer Meals sites! 🍎🥪🥛

If you haven’t stopped by yet, there’s still time! All children ages 0–18 are eligible to receive meals, regardless of where they attend school. Children must be present at the time of pickup.

☀️ Summer Meals Update! ☀️

Another great day of serving children across Henry County! ❤️ These smiles from Mt Zion Baptist Church and our Summer Learning Camp say it all. Today, students at Summer Learning Camp received their weekend meal bags to help ensure they have access to nutritious meals while away from school.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to provide meals that help fuel learning, play, and growth all summer long! 🍎🥪🥛

📢 Reminder: Weekend meal distribution for all other Summer Meals locations will take place tomorrow. Be sure to stop by your designated site to pick up meals for the weekend!

☀️ Day 2 of Summer Feeding! ☀️

Another great day serving children across Henry County! A special thank you to the amazing volunteers, students, and staff who helped pack hundreds of weekend meal bags for both Summer Feeding and Summer Learning Camp 💙

Because of their hard work, children will have meals to enjoy throughout the weekend. We are so grateful for a community that continues to step up and support our kids!

🌦️☀️ What a wonderful first day of Summer Feeding!

The day started with rain, but the sunshine eventually broke through—and so did the smiles. Thanks to the hard work of our School Nutrition team, site staff, volunteers, and community partners, we served over 400 children on the very first day of our Summer Feeding Program!

From packing meals early this morning to distributing them throughout the community, our team was committed to making sure children have access to nutritious meals while school is out. Seeing children and families take advantage of this program reminds us why this work is so important.

If your family hasn’t joined us yet, there’s still plenty of time! Summer meals are available at no cost for all children ages 0-18, regardless of where they attend school.

📢 We are especially working to grow participation at our Lakewood School site. If you have friends, family, or neighbors in the area, please share this post and help us spread the word about free summer meals for children ages 0-18. Your support can make a big difference!

Due to weather, we may be running approximately 15-20 minutes late at each site. Please be patient with us today as we begin to get meals out today. 😎☔️

Henry County School Nutrition is excited to once again provide FREE meals for ALL children ages 0-18 this summer beginning June 1! ❤️💙

📍 We are proud to expand our program this year with TWO NEW locations:
• Morningside Village Housing Authority
• Washington Courts Housing Authority

Children do NOT have to be enrolled students of Henry County Schools to participate — ANY child ages 0-18 qualifies for free meals! No registration necessary. 🙌

🗓 Meals will be available Monday-Friday (including weekend meals) at locations across Henry County from June 1 - July 17.
