What a week for our “Triple Scoop” cashier Will. He worked lots of shifts this summer getting those legs super strong and it sure paid off. He came into his own this fall with lots of strong runs! Congrats on a great final run at Emerson on Wednesday. Fastest 8th grade male! What a great run. Should have celebrated with a cosmic cookie sundae cause you are out of this world!

Tonight at the MSHS football was a truly special moment for many of the players, band members, cheer, and Hawkettes. Congrats to all the seniors! How does it go so quick? Important to celebrate milestones with your friends. Perhaps with ice cream from Triple Scoop’d.

Vote today for our friends at Tony’s in Edison Park on the WGN best deli contest. Then follow Nicole’s lead and pick up a party tray for your next event. PRO tip - if the lines are long at the counter grab a pre-made Italian sub out of the fridge! They are fresh and delicious. Tony's Italian Deli & Subs

Of the three “Triple Scoop’d kids Will is clearly our entrepreneur. He has worked our Toast register since he was eight years old. This summer he has been busy preparing the next big thing in South Park! “Wills soda bar” launched today at Triple Scoop’d ice cream shop! How many 8th graders get to launch a new business? Come try them out! I suspect that it’s only a matter of time before Will is pitching something to Shark Tank the Sharks! Let’s all support him in his first launch.

On September 11, 2001 I was living in the city but, just by chance, was driving down Cumberland Ave as that second plane hit. That moment is forever etched in my head. I didn’t know what to think. I still don’t. Today I marked the 25th anniversary at city hall. Watching the stream of planes fly overhead made it even more special. Proud to be a part of this wonderful community. Thank you to our first responders who rush at and into dangerous situations. Let’s Roll!

Happy 17th Ellie. The wedding day “body painting” dress seemed funny back then. Now, as you approach adulthood, I’m officially locking you up! Grab your own favorite silly kids and bring them to Triple Scoop’d tonight. The days are sometimes long but these years are going by fast. Really really fast!
