This Father's Day, we're thinking about every father figure who helps us get to the moments that matter. Dads, stepdads, grandfathers, and the people who never had the title but showed up like they did.

NOOR featured in the LA Times

While NOOR has undoubtedly hosted countless Armenian celebrations and has roots connected to the Armenian-American story in Southern California, it has never been defined solely by that identity. Instead, it has evolved into something broader: a Pasadena institution that reflects the diversity of the community it serves.

NOOR wasn’t created to be an “Armenian banquet hall.” It was created to be an exceptional event venue in Pasadena—one that welcomes everyone, celebrates multiculturalism, and supports the local community through its partnerships with nonprofits and charitable organizations.

In many ways, NOOR represents the evolution described in the article itself: honoring heritage without being confined by it. Our venue’s clientele spans weddings, galas, fundraisers, corporate events, milestone celebrations, and nonprofit organizations from every corner of the community. NOOR’s identity has been shaped as much by Pasadena as by any single cultural tradition.

L.A.'s Armenian banquet halls host lavish parties with caviar, food trucks and two-foot skewers of khorovats that keep traditions of celebrating alive.

Pasadena Now recently featured Robert Shahnazarian's journey from producing music sessions for Sony Connect to building NOOR into one of Pasadena's most distinctive event venues.

We're grateful for the opportunity to share our story and celebrate the people who have been part of it over the past 15 years.
