That surprise cold front? Rude. Uninvited. Officially over it. Today’s looking SO much nicer—June is acting like June again, and we’re celebrating with $2 soft serve scoops all day. Because really, is there even such a thing as too much soft serve? (We’ve done the research. There isn’t.)

Caught in the act of making a whole vibe out of sugar and butter 🍮 Today’s lineup: cannoli that snap just right, pies we’d marry, cookies with main character energy, and Laura’s brand-new stuffed biscotti (yes, stuffed—she’s a genius and we’re not okay about it). Macarons, éclairs, sfogliatella with those famous flaky layers, and a little of everything else to make your palate do a happy dance.

Fun fact: sfogliatella means “small thin layer” in Italian—and ours has about a thousand of them, no notes.

No big philosophical reason needed here. Sometimes the assignment is simply: eat something wonderful.

After Memorial Day weekend, we found ourselves reflecting on how meaningful simple comforts can be. During both World War I and World War II, volunteers known as the “Donut Lassies” and later the “Donut Dollies” served fresh donuts and coffee to troops overseas. What may seem like a small treat today was once a powerful reminder of home, warmth, and normalcy during incredibly difficult times.

It’s a good reminder that sometimes the little things we enjoy every day — even a delicious donut bite — can carry more comfort and connection than we realize.

And speaking of comfort food… don’t forget our Thursday special: every Thursday we offer $1 stuffed donuts! Stop by, treat yourself, and enjoy a little sweetness this week. 🍩
