Sous Chef, Breakfast Lunch & Catering
Location: Perham, MN
Lakes Cafe is a charming hometown eatery Open only for breakfast and lunch. We are known for its delicious food and Minnesota friendly service. We are seeking a talented and passionate person to join our team and help us keep our title of best breakfast in the Lakes area!
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and even baking is possible.
Quality Control: Ensure that all food served meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Kitchen Management: Manage the kitchen, including ordering, training and making sure orders are on time.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and minimize food waste.
Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
Qualifications:
Culinary Experience: Any number years of experience as a Chef, Sous Chef or cook of any kind will be recognized and compensated accordingly. We are happy to consider no experience as well to kick start you in a new career path but may need to rotate other rolls while we train.
Strong Culinary Skills: Proven ability to prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills to oversee kitchen operations.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and suppliers.
Passion for Food: A genuine passion for food and a commitment to providing exceptional culinary experiences. If you are not interested in food service, please find something you do have a passion for...
Need to Count on You: I need someone able to be trusted, show up on time, and driven. The last thing we want is to micromanage or have someone we need to “be told what to do all day”. We want to be able to leave for catering and know the restaurant is in great hands.
