SMALL BUSINESS FRIDAY!!! 👇👇
:
Every Friday we feature a small business owner in our community who helps make it a better place to be, to live, to thrive!
:
For your viewing pleasure today we have the lovely and talented who once mentioned in that our Farro with Chicken was his go-to for lunch. Well those days are over. He’s now onto our Tahini Grain Bowl with Harissa-roasted chicken. Chef is co-owner of the beautiful and delicious & and we couldn’t be more proud to be in community with them! Oui chef!!

What's New in Lunchette:

Beans!
Yep, our favorite ingredient in the world. Why? They're good for the planet, good for your body, and they are baaack! This time they’ll be on our new Summertime Salad along with roasted corn, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, pickled onions, pepitas, and one of our favorite dressings of all time: roasted jalapeno-cilantro-lime green goddess. Coming Friday!

Take-n-bake lasagne (vegetarian) is “mostly” available - it sells out quickly! Allow us to make your dinner plans easy: Grab yours today from the fridge - each portion serves two!

Take-n-heat bolognese for the meat lover is also “mostly” available - it’s perfect on polenta, pasta, or made into your own lasagne version!

What's Coming:

Apples. Gravenstein first. Then all the others.
My Argus Courier column will be apple-focused in August so keep your eyes peeled for that! It's based on a substack essay (https://plateandplace.substack.com/p/the-apple?r=1wsmdw) I wrote in Spring ;)

Blueberries. We got a couple cases of these beauties from Serres Ranch and poached them in simple syrup for our Meyer Lemon Posset topping. On the shelf today!

Take Action:

This article matters. Moon shots matter.

Read this radical plan, and let’s start having conversations about how to transform how we can all thrive on a planet with finite resources and growing inequality. Even if all we do is read and discuss, it matters. If you like discussing big ideas, like I do, maybe we can create a conversation IRL at a coffee shop one Saturday!?! LMK if you’d like to be part of that.

Upcoming:

So many artists. So much art.
Petaluma Art Center upcoming show is called Expressions In Metal, which includes friend of Lunchette Sean Paul Lorentz. Opening reception is july 23, 5:30-7:30pm.

Slough City has current show called My Mother's Garden with several local artists.

Jonny Hirshmigel's (below in pic) new show Wet Paint will be at Keller Street Co-Work. Opening reception is also July 23, 4:30-7pm.

Now, for the giveaway...

Charley Crockett at Stern Grove on 7/19 at 2pm! We are gifting 4 tickets for the first person who emails: [email protected]

We are so damn blessed to call this place home. And you being in community with us is what makes it so special. Thank you!

SMALL BUSINESS FRIDAY PORTRAIT! 👇

We are posting a portrait every Friday to help strengthen the connection we have to our local business community. Weekly you can meet or be reintroduced to an amazing part of our business community!

Meet 👋 - he and his partner Laurel bring us the beautiful line made with ingredients they farm themselves! Very rare in this field (no pun intended) Eric tells me they spend much of the time weeding and planting and planning future harvests (70% is weeding!) to make the most luxurious emollients, serums, hydrasols, and cream cleansers with them. Order direct from them or go to on of the several spas who use the products. Check out their website!

If you are curious and want to know their most common order, they get our Chickpea Salad with extra Tomales Farmstead feta and our Chicken Caesar, two of our faves!

Amelia’s fave is also likely your fave? It’s the one listed in hint hint :)🤌🤌🤌

When we close, we float away into magical spaces, to be immersed in beauty and connection. It refreshes us so we can bring our full selves when we are with you. And boi are we getting that in spades. So Happy Fourth to each and every one of you (and to all of you who ordered today - who ignored the popups that said your order will be made on Monday 7/6, we will refund you! 😜) 🇺🇸🎇🎆
