Hey Shackers… ROOTS PICNIC 2026 is officially in the books. 🙌🏾
Last year showed up with hope.
This year we showed up with experience.
What you see in this video is more than tents going up, fryers firing, interviews, and me directing traffic. What you don’t see are the months of planning, the late nights at the commissary, the inventory runs, the team meetings, the setbacks, and the faith it takes to keep building.
Watching our crew move with purpose this year reminded me how far we’ve come.
From a small soul food dream…
To serving thousands of people on one of the biggest stages in Philadelphia.
Every tent pole.
Every tray packed.
Every case of chicken.
Every order called.
Every customer who stopped by.
It all matters.
Roots isn’t just a festival for us. It’s a reminder that consistency wins. That showing up matters. That when you keep betting on yourself, eventually the crowd starts believing too.
