Today. 8 years ago, Der Wurst opened up shop for the first time. Using a 2007 Honda Fit, I towed a hot dog cart to the now closed for our first service ever.
Fast forward 8 years, we are still here, still using only , still using fresh baked pretzel buns from and still using slang terms for dicks on our menu. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Old habits die hard.

We’re celebrating our 8th anniversary as a business the only way we know how: With Heavy Metal and beer.
Happy to have our friends in and join us in the celebration. One more band TBD.
All proceeds taken at the door will go to a community farm growing healthy food for the community around them.

We started year off by being honored one of the Top 100 Essential Restaurants in 2025 by

Then they also awarded us as one of the Top 27 Best value restaurants in Phoenix with meals under $20

We pulled off a bootleg Denny’s, Fazoli’s, Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s menu by using real ingredients incorporating locally made items

We designed Signature Brat again this year.

And capped it off with our FOURTH Best of Phoenix award.

HUGE thank you to our roommates and our landlord for giving us the space to be creative with food.
