Rico's Restaurant opened November 3rd, 1979 in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Our reputation is for fine, traditionally Italian cuisine along with local favorites such as steak, veal, and seafood. Some of our dishes have become very popular and you can now find them on menus throughout the city of Pittsburgh. Our signature pasta, Angel Hair with Pine Nuts; our original Fettuccine allo Scoglio with

Red or White sauce; our special Caprice Salad with imported fresh bufala mozzarella; Walleye Pike with Lump Crab meat and Virginia Spots English style, are all dishes created by Rico. Rico's philosophy has always been to serve the best, using choice cuts of beef and prime ingredients; importing cheeses and extra virgin olive oil from Italy and serving the highest quality seafood delivered daily. He butchers all of the meat and filets the fish himself every morning. Rico's Restaurant is not just about food, it is also about traditions. Families continue to return to celebrate with us all of their life's major events. Corporations are comfortable too at Rico's Restaurant, scheduling their business meetings, lunches or dinners, with us. Our customers are very satisfied and they return time and time again. Nevertheless, we don't rely just on our reputation and the praise of our customers. David Lorenzini, Rico's son, is the Manager in charge of banquets and responsible for the wine list. David is also taking care of the wines in our temperature controlled wine cellar. His knowledge comes from visiting the wineries of Italy and California with the intent to expand our inventory for our customers' pleasure. Executive Chef Dennis DeLuca is constantly working to create new dishes inspired by old Tuscan recipes or new favorites that Rico brings back from his travels to entice new generations.
