After quite the hiatus, our black l***r, Ghost Rail (5.0%), returns to taps and shelves this week!

We tweaked this one a tad since the last time you saw ‘er and we’re so pleased with where it landed!

Our brewers are getting notes of roasted chestnuts, baker’s chocolate, crumbly pie crust and caramel stroopwafel.

Hop harvest is the most magical time of year. We travel to the Yakima Valley in Washington every year. On paper, the trip is about selecting the lots of Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Krush from this year’s harvest as the hops are being plucked from the fields. But it’s so much more than that.

Hop harvest is about being present, feeling, smelling, tasting, and participating in one of the great agricultural and cooperative feats of mankind. It’s connecting with generations of family farmers, dedicated research scientists and agronomists, teams of workers from throughout the Americas, and the sophisticated grower-owned cooperative that pelletizes, extracts, and markets the hops to brewers.

It’s incredible: back in the 1500s or so, Europeans stumbled across wild hops and started adding them to their proto-b**r. It tasted nice! They started cultivating the vines. They selected for better tasting and better growing plants over time. Fast forward several centuries, and that practice followed to the brewing industry to the Pacific Northwest. American hop production is now a technologically advanced, well capitalized, economically and operationally sophisticated, and highly cooperative industry that we’re grateful to witness and dive into for a week every year.

Another wonderfully crisp b**r hits shelves and taps this week and it’s none other than the fantastico IL SPUNDO (5.0%) 🤌

Also referred to around here as the “brewer’s reserve,” this b**r’s lemony spice from German Tettnang and Hersbrucker hops fill the nooks and crannies of the Italian-grown pilsner malt.

Krush HAHPS (7.0%) is our single-hop west coast IPA built on the HAHPS frame but brewed with, you guessed it, Krush and Krush Cryo!

We first found a home for Krush, back when it was still called HBC586, alongside Citra and Simcoe in Squish, tweaking that most important of hop-driven Cinderlands b**rs towards punchy red fruit. Give it the stage all on its own and it’s twangy passion fruit, Hawaiian Punch, ripe guava, squished clementine, and dank Blue Dream tones on a lean, crisp, clear frame.

Moonlight Equilibrium (5.5%) is our first release from our Foederhouse collection for quite some time and what better time of year for a b**r like this! 💫🌙✨

We brewed a saison with spelt and wheat, aged it in an American oak foeder with a pitch of Brettanomyces then rested over dried apricots in a red w**e barrel.

Moonlight’s been patiently conditioning in the bottle for the right time and the time is now!

This funky, fruity limited edition is packaged in 500mL bottles and is available only at Cinderlands Warehouse and Cinderlands Taproom - Wexford

A light dry-hop of Yakima Valley Cascade and Cascade Cryo complements the vibrant, un-kilned fresh-hop character without stealing the show.
