We purchased the Rusty Anchor Marina & Pub in 2012 from the Pittsfield YMCA. The building was in desperate need of repair. It was literally falling into the lake. After 3 months of freezing cold and grueling construction, our building was restored and saved from being only a memory of time past on Pontoosuc Lake. We opened in May of 2013 as a private club and marina. We had 20 boat slips and 30 boat moorings. We are also happy to say we continue to host the Williams College Sail Club. They utilize our facility and docks free of charge each spring and fall. Our goal is to create a rustic setting, casual and fun experience on our 40' x 40' deck and pub, for all of our members to enjoy. Each year we have continued to improve the amenities for our members and guests. We will continue to do so every year. In 2014 our membership grew and we expanded our amenities to include an outdoor kitchen complete with grills, refrigerators and freezer for our members interested in our Pub Club Social Membership.
2015 we we increased our docks and boat slip to accommodate 40 boats. In 2016 we added new canopies for those on the deck prefer a little shade as well as new tables, umbrellas and pub height seating along the deck directly overlooking the water. In 2017 we are proud to open as the Rusty Anchor Marina & Pub. We acquired a Seasonal Beer & Wine license. We have been busy renovating the pub area and the arcade room. In 2021 we move our existing bar to overlook the lake. We added Keno and a full liquor license in 2023. Please stop to see us in April for more information if you are interested
