After great thought we are saddened to announce that we will not be rebuilding Ron's. I've asked my parents to retire, the long hours on those cement floors have done a number on my mom's joints over the past 33 years. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about the restaurant and our customers since that has been our lives and the employees and customers alike are like extended family. I've tried to come up with a short sweet story here and it always ends up turning into a novel. So that being said we hope you all are staying healthy in these trying times and have a wonderful summer. I won't be shutting the page down just in case someone wanted to get ahold of any of us we are still here. This is Jennifer by the way, it wasn't letting me post as myself just as the business. Miss you all!

In case there is anyone that doesn’t know, we lost Ron’s to a fire on Friday night. First of all we want to thank our Plainfield fire department and all the other fire departments who were called in to help, for trying to save Ron’s. And all the businesses that brought food, water, coffee ,support for all the people working to contain the fire. Thank you for the outpouring of support from our friends ,customers who we consider our extended family. Our hearts our breaking because your heart’s are breaking. It was all of you that made it a pleasure to come to work every day. We’ve been through a lot with all of you over the past 32 years, and we thank you for all the love you have shared with us. It always amazed us how many people came through our doors that had never been there before. They came in as strangers but left as part of our Ron’s family A place to eat, a place to meet, celebrations, funerals , laughter , tears, good times bad times. You forgave us when we screwed up. So many good memories. Thank you ,thank you ,thank you, from the Zywicki family and crew. We love you all.
