Cafe Gecko in Plano, TX

Hi there, I’m reaching out from Cafe Gecko in North Dallas — a true neighborhood legend that’s been serving up bold flavors and good vibes for 35 years. We’re the kind of spot people walk into once and end up coming back for decades. Our staff sticks around, our regulars stick around, and the energy stays easy, warm, and unmistakably Gecko. Cafe Gecko was born in 1991 when Dennis opened it “on a shoestring” after twelve years behind the bar in Addison. His adventures in Cozumel sparked the entire menu — simple, original, scratch‑made recipes built on bright, unforgettable flavors. That Cozumel influence is still in every dish. Our menu hasn’t changed much because the classics he created still hit exactly the way people remember. Everything is made with love, just like he intended. Dennis now lives full‑time in Cozumel, but Gecko hasn’t missed a beat. He trusts me — Amy — to carry the torch and keep the heart, flavor, and community spirit alive every single day. We’re also one of the few places serving real, quality food until 2 AM, seven days a week. That’s earned us a huge industry following — chefs, bartenders, and service‑industry pros who know they can count on us for a solid, freshly made meal after their shifts. Not bar food. Scratch‑made food that’s cared for. That’s why we’d love to invite Diners, Drive‑Ins and Dives to come experience what makes Cafe Gecko special. We’ve got the story, the flavors, the longevity, and the community that define the best of local dining. Whether it’s showcasing our signature dishes, meeting the team, or capturing the vibe that’s kept us thriving for three and a half decades, we’d be thrilled to welcome you. If you’re open to it, we’d be happy to coordinate dates, details, and anything you need to make the visit smooth, fun, and full of flavor. Thanks for considering us — we’d be honored to share our story and our food with you. Best Regards, Amy
