SAVE THE DATE FOR THE 2023 PORTNEUF VALLEY ENVIRONMENTAL FAIR: April 16, 2023. Come learn about the small steps you can take at home, work, school, and on the road to improve our local environment. Close to 100 businesses, agencies and organizations will be providing activities, information and goods for sale that make it easy to be green. Come out and enjoy great music, food and hands on activiti

es at this popular community festival. The Fair is FREE and has something for everyone - just ask one of the over 5,000 attendees from last year. Bring your friends and family and enjoy dozens of hands-on activities, pick up green goodies, listen to great live music and enjoy a free Idaho baked potato, hot dog or or freeze dried ice cream. This community event is sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and local government agencies.

This soda can and water bottle sculpture was created by students & teachers at Pocatello High School in Mr. Stayner's classroom. It started as something to gauge student interest in recycling. The pyramid transformed into a symbol for sustainability. Recycling is more than just tossing bottles and cans into bins; it's about transforming garbage into art.

Remember to submit your illustrated poems either digitally to [email protected] or to City Hall at 911 N. 7th Ave. in the main lobby. A basket for poems is in the lobby. Submissions will be accepted until 5:00 PM tomorrow!

There is still time to create an entry for the Recycled Sculpture Contest! The Glen Allen Project will be offering a workshop where you can create a sculpture on April 19th at 1:00 PM! The $10 fee is only a suggested donation so the workshop is open to all.
