Forest Ray is coming to the saloon TONIGHT! This Seattle-based folk 'n roll band is touring the west and is making their Polebridge debut today. Their music has been described as “spaced-out, down to earth" and "Brit-pop gone country” that sounds like “the band covering Beatles songs no one knew existed”. Come check them out, show starts at 6pm!

We are thrilled that puppet theater is returning to Polebridge to perform their giant puppet show at the saloon! Mark your calendars for July 15 for their show “Night at the Grand Opera.” This show will be a blend of puppetry, circus arts, theater and is performed with a live musical score! It’s a feast for the eyes and is great for the entire family! Bring your kids, bring your grandmas, bring your friends and neighbors too. Show starts at 7pm, $20 suggested donation- no one will be turned away for lack of funds. See you on July 15!

Big thanks to North Fork Preservation Association for giving our staff the Bear Smart presentation. We are learning about how to safely live and recreate in bear country. This summer make sure you secure your food in bear safe canisters, when you’re hiking make a bunch of noise so as to not startle them, use electric fencing around your trash cans at your homes, and travel with bear spray and in groups in the backcountry. Another great tip we learned is to always cook your food separately from where you sleep when backpacking. It’s recommended to have your kitchen 50 yards away from your sleeping bag. There are so many good resources out there to learn more about how to stay safe in bear country - check out bearsmart.org !
